Two Balloon Monkey

Patricia Bunnell

This monkey head has been around for a long time. What I have done is made it Ken Stillman style by using his "Speed Twisting" method. "Speed Twisting" is where you take two balloons and twist at the same time to make it faster. You can put this monkey on a different body if you have the time.

image

To form the ear, inflate a 260 leaving about a 6 inch tip. Twist about a 4 inch loop. Make this out of a lighter colored balloon.

image

Inflate another 260 leaving a 2 1/2 in tip. Twist in at the ear. Be sure to use a darker or contrasting color.

image

Taking both balloons at the same time make two 4 inch bubbles.

image

Fold the balloon back on itself and form 2 more 4 inch bubbles. Twist in at the ear.

image

Taking the balloon and folding it back on itself again make two more bubbles slightly longer and twist around the 4 bubble cluster. Keep the colors light on one side and dark on the other.

image

Make another loop the same size as the first ear. Deflate the excess balloon and twist in to draw the bubbles all together.

image

Make a 1 inch bubble followed by a pinch twist.

image

Stuff them in the center of the head between the dark and lighter bubbles.

image

Make a small loop for the front feet.

image

Make a small bubble for it's body, followed by another loop for it's hind legs.

Give it a cute face and you have an impressive, quick monkey!
