Patricia Bunnell

This pirate hat is great any time of year, but kids love it especially at Halloween! This hat has been made by other artists with much greater flair than mine, but I like my version because it is easy enough for line work. I hope you have a really creepy Halloween!

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Step 1

Fully inflate TWO black 260s, burp and tie off. Form a loop on the knot end of both balloons.

Step 2

Overlap the two balloons so that there is a loop on opposite ends from each other. Measure the child's head and adjust to fit. Twist the loop around the other balloon... repeat.

Step 3

On the tip end of each balloon make a 1" bubble.

Step 4 Step 5 Step 6
Step 4

Forming an arch, twist the bubble around the loop.

Step 5

Repeat with the other balloon/loop.

Step 6

Inflate a white 5. round about the size of a softball.

Step 7 Step 8 Step 9
Step 7

Pinch off a small bubble at the top of the round balloon.

Step 8

Grabbing both of the black arches twist the bubble of the round balloon in at the top and center of the arches.

Step 9

Twist the knot of the white balloon in at the base of the hat on one of the balloons.
