Recently at the United Way meeting in my area I was awarded a plaque for Outstanding Community Service for donating my time and balloons to help them out. I hope to be helping them again next year.
And also, more recently, two of the state legislators of Wisconsin moved that I be recognized for my award at T&Jam. I was also presented a plaque for this.
It's this time of the year that we remember things like this, that even the little things go the longest way. I know that some of us don't like doing too much for charity, but even so the little bit does a lot.
I apologize again for the lack of context in this month's article, things have been hectic, and hopefully next month I can bounce back and do double the work.
Just a reminder to those of you that do children's stories with balloons, I wrote one a year and a half ago or so, called Billy the Blue Balloon Dog. I did several programs with that book recently, and they ended up very successful. If anyone wishes to use it, they're welcome to, and can find it in the Past Columns section, under my name, September of 2001.
Until next time, Keep on Twisting,
Stacey Schmude
