Subject: Store front percentages Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2003 06:43:06 EDT From: AeraDeco@aol.com Hey there, everyone. This question is directed to those of you with store front locations, but those of you with home-based businesses who are considering the transition might want to take note of the responses. I was wondering for those of you out there with retail locations, what percentage of your business would you say is straight retail (mylar balloons, small bunches that the customer takes with them, plush, candy, gifts, wedding accessories, etc) versus delivery and decor? In addition, how many of you store front businesses "multi-task", as in offer more than one type of service? For example, I know one balloon decorator who also owns a cake and catering business, and another who does balloons as part of a rental company. It seems that I know of VERY FEW professionals who run a store front location whose business is NOT directly impacted by either retail sales or supplementary services. I think this information is important for all in our industry to know. Thanks in advance! Steve Jones Aeration Decorations Cincinnati, Ohio www.aeradeco.com
