I hope all of the complainers out there about the hotel room prices
understand how very difficult it is for the IBAC Producers to find hotels
that are large enough to be able to accommodate our unusually large needs for
ballroom space and classrooms, as well as being willing to host a convention
that historically doesn't give the hotel much income in "add-ons" such as
food and drinks. Since we are mostly mom and pop organizations, we don't
have the expense accounts to spend money that most convention delegates have
at their disposal.

Even though the rooms are expensive at the Hyatt, if you're really serious
about getting the very best education for the dollar, $10-$15 more per night,
per person, shouldn't stop you from attending. We have always added the cost
of IBAC into our overhead percentage on our job cost forms. If you don't want
to do that, perhaps you could just add an additional $10-$15 to each
decorating job you do over the next year. I'll bet you won't hear very many
complaints from your customers and you would only have to do about 10 jobs to
more than pay the difference.

Bottom Line: If you're serious about your business becoming successful,
you'll be at IBAC 17 in Chicago!!
