Subject: Birthday Party - "Shopping" Theme

Hi everyone!

I have been asked to decorate a Birthday Party in honour of a women who's
hobby is "shopping" so the theme of the party will be based on her favourite
past time.

Does anyone have any ideas for centrepieces?  My client would like to use
mini paper shopping bags from various shops which the birthday gal shops and
fill them with numerous shopping related items.  I was thinking of having
these bags overflowing with items such as monopoly money, plastic coins,
strings of beads (to look like pearls), maybe coloured copies of charge
cards (mine with numbers changed of course), etc.

My first instinct was to go with small clutch purses (which I could find at
thrift shops) and use them as props to fill with items, but my client has
her mind made up on using the shopping bags.  Can anyone elaborate on this
concept, or does anyone have any other ideas????
