Nice tip, thanks.
While we're on the subject of what works for us ..... I've found it a useful
practice when making Heart Arches or Garland Love Hearts to make all my
bends in the 'rod' at 45 degrees.
For want of a better example half the Heart looks simular to Superman's
logo.

The 45 degree angle allows most garlands to be presented with an even curve
and a spiral can be easily maintained.

The length of the rod between each bend depends on the required size of the
finished heart.

Well it works for me.
