G'Day from Downunder,
Just wanted to say that, once again, I gained a whole lot of trade news (and
earmarked some as future wisdom) by attending the Annual QBN General Meeting
at IBAC. 

Over the years, attending IBAC, I have found that attending this meeting is
at the top of my list. Why? Because it is an open forum format ..... honest
and the "hard core" balloon industry "mood". This is where the small
business balloon decorators and twisters stand up and tell it like it REALLY
is out there in THEIR local commercial world. Their success stories, their
frustrations, their local networking, their concerns, market trends and
their gratitude to particular suppliers and colleagues.

It's great to hear some of the innovative marketing initiatives being
developed by QBN members and QBN Chapters around the world. Localized
education at Chapter meetings and the introduction by some Chapters of
numerous cash scholarships that can be won or earned by Chapter members to
help them attend IBAC.

Those who spoke openly about what has worked (and what hasn't worked) in
attracting more sales, new members, product exposure and much more
......THANK YOU, for the insight and an INVALUABLE opportunity to share with
you what's happening in the South Pacific region!

This annual meeting is one of those "extra" things that help make IBAC a
COMPLETE balloon industry experience. One that's worth flying 17,000 miles
(return) to attend. If you haven't yet attended ..... you're missing some of
the very best, up-to-date, nitty-gritty, no-holds-barred trade education
available - anywhere. PBC executives have closed the meeting some years
holding bouquets ...... other years wearing brick bats. This year ... a
bouquet!
