Subject: KC Balloon Jam

The March KC/Midwest Balloon Professionals Jam will be held on Wednesday, March
28th.  Time has really flown--March marks the one year anniversary of our
monthly balloon jams!  All balloon twisters and decorators are invited to
attend.

The jam will be held at Uptown Diner, 4800 W. 119th Street in Leawood, KS.
Uptown is directly in front of Town Center Plaza between Dean & Deluca and
Houlihan's.  If you need further directions or want to take a look at the menu,
please visit Uptown's website, www.uptown-diner.com  Dinner is at 6, Jamming
starts at 7.  Admission is $3 for members, $5 for non-members.  The first 20
attendees will receive a BalloonHQ mousepad!

The contest theme for this month is "Going Places with Balloons....Planes,
Trains, Automobiles and Farm Implements."  You may bring a pre-made sculpture
for the first round or make a creation in 10 minutes or less for the second
round.  You may enter each category once.  Two prizes will be given in each
category and judging will be by everyone attending.  We will be trying out the
two separate categories for the first time this month.

The educational segment this month will focus on insects.  Don't miss this
opportunity to "Bug Out" with balloons!  The contest and educational segment
will conclude by 7:45 so we will have several hours for jamming and goodies from
the Uptown soda fountain!
