Hi all

I am putting together a proposal for a job for a local
university's graduating class.  I usually only
decorate for weddings.  This will be my first
non-wedding deco job. The Gala starts at about 7:00 in
the evening and will continue into the night.  My
question is how can I decorate so that it looks
beatiful during the daylight hours and then elegant
during the evening hours.  The event is going to be in
the courtyard under a tent.  I was thinking about
doing an arch over the entrance way and then balloon
clouds behind the the head table.  Because I have
never decorated for this type of event before I don't
want it to look like a romantic wedding reception.  Am
I wrong in my thinking?  How do other decorate for
this type of event.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
