Hi Dave

I think the 150 lb test dacron line will do the job.  However I recommend that
you take a separate piece of the dacron line and wrap it around the pole three
or four time.  Tied your dacron line with the balloons on it to the line you
have wrapped around the pole.  This should prevent the rubbing on the metal post
edges.  You could also add a piece of that grey tape on the edges of the metal
to help prevent any rubbing.
