Hi,

I can certainly, or should I say my daughter can certainly relate. She is
just sixteen (and has always been very tiny and petite) but is a high school
graduate and heading to college next month. She has helped me in my
business for four years and knows just about as much as I do and is an
excellent twister. There has been occasions that she has handled the job by
herself as I am on another. When she gets the "you're so young" (and she
is, even compared to you) she has her own portfolio with letters from paying
clients that she shows. On a twisting job, she also relates to her ability
to relate to the children so well. When we do jobs together, she gets much
better rapport with the children, being their size and all. (not that I have
any problems) Mostly because people (young and old) are in awe (she looks
even younger than she is), they think it is awesome for someone so (tiny,
young (not even knowing her age)etc) to have her capabilities. She often
gets jobs on her own. One she is capable and two she shows no fear of what
clients think about her age. I guess you could chalk it up to being
uninhibited & that certainly is a plus to her age and her future as this
experience will carry her a long way and make it easier to open doors.
Well, I guess I'm rambling like a proud mom. Just wanted to let you know
that you can draw on the confidence that you showed in your letter to us in
your self. Always let the client know that you have confidence in yourself
and your abilities and have that portfolio ready along with letters to go
with the pictures you show them of happy clients.
Oh, one more thing ... be happy you look young!

happy ballooning,

judi
