Sharmaleigh - too bad your client wants to spend only $1000 but does not want
balloons. Does he realize how much more he can get for his money with
balloon decor? I'd take some dance floor canopy photos and an ivy around
print with me anyway .... you never know.

Otherwise, check your local event rental companies for the name of a
reputable company that provides plant rentals. Sometimes, if you are not
lucky enough like we are in the DC area to have a company that includes
plants specifically for party rentals, a company that provides plant rentals
to office buildings will accomodate a short term rental.

I think I would suggest they further refine their theme ..... do they want a
Secret Garden, a Rose Garden, a Moonlit Garden, a Tropical Garden, or perhaps
a Vegetable Garden :-) theme??? That might help you come up with ideas for
other decor components. Again, for $1000 it will be difficult to carry this
type of theme throughout a ballroom unless you focus the theme elements in
some way, like on the buffet table, on the dancefloor, etc. For example,
for a Rose Garden theme, you might have lattice screens behind the head table
and on the corners of the dance floor, with roses woven through, and then use
simple rose based centerpieces, or a rose print table overlay to carry the
theme throughout the room. For a Moonlit Garden theme, you could focus on
creative lighting and using silver, white, and tulle or soft gossamer like
fabrics and white twinkly light to carry the theme along.

Isn't it frustrating when people don't want balloons!!! I know you could
come up with dozens of beautiful ways to incorpate balloons into a garden
theme! Oh well .... hope these suggestions help a little!
