Subject: partnership?

Greetings to all!

I am very new to the balloon biz. I have been slowly gathering inventory to 
start my new business. This process has been very slow due to limited income. 
 I have been toying with the idea of asking a friend of mine to join 
partnership with me in hopes to not only get my business off the ground, but 
to also have a dedicated person to help with the process of decorating 
weddings, receptions, parties etc.  
My question to you is "What is your opinion on partnerships?" " Do any of you 
have a partner? " What are the pros and cons?" 
I am home based (actually I have a nice size studio) where I plan to run my 
business.  Any and all advice would be greatly welcomed!
