I have a large van now, and have always been able to transport any decor I
needed, including up to 200 filled ballons, and once a 15' sylvester (in
sections). My question is my van is shot, and I need to buy a new vehicle NOW.
I am thinking of getting a
Jeep Cherokee, it appears large enough for tanks, and some decor, as I am
tired of driving a '"bus" all the time. Do any of you have a jeep, and feel
it is big enough, or not big enough. Thanx,
David Davenport

Go Bronchos!

Did you notice the large balloons 'lit-up" during the Super Bowl Halftime
Show.

I thought they made Gloria Estefan's performance especially beautiful.

Can anyone share ideas as to how they were lighted and controlled?

I have done a few 45 records for 50's parties and they look great using
260Q however they seem to pop easily, needless to say this is not good.
I now have to make a 6 ft. one that needs to last at least a week. Like
I mentioned the 260Q one would have the look, but I just don't trust it
to last. Anyone of you have any ideas on how to make them last longer?
or what to substitute for a great look?
Thanks John

Greetings,

I have a couple of upcoming jobs for which I need balloons my supplier does
not inventory or have in stock

First, I need clear top print BAT balloons. This was a Halloween item so
finding it might be difficult. I require 1 gross. The other balloons I need
are 30" Pearl Quartz and 30" Pearl Teal... 16 of each. the last item I need is
silver mylar sheets.

If you can help, please e-mail me SOON!

Thanks so much.

I remember seeing an old images magazine that had a GEO as a base. Gary Wells
had filled the hole and used 4" minis, florals and ting-ting as decor coming
out of the center... I am trying to figure out what was plugged into the
center to supply a foam core for the picks........ and how did he balance
that so it was not top/side heavy?? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, Radar!
Those balloons are available from Bright Moon Balloon. I used them once and
they are very cool. They are reusable, and lit from within with 4 1,000 watt
halogen bulbs. They are available for rental or purchase. Lemme tellya, these
boys are EXPENSIVE!! I wish I had a phone # for you , but my party planner
actually took care of all the details. Good luck and...

Need Some Outrageous Ideas!
We have a client that is looking to do something that would make people
stop and saying
wow that out of this world! The owner saw the large sculptures at IBAC
last year. He was
there for a business meeting. This company is doing a trade show in
Manhattan. They
sell custom frames. They are looking to push their new line of kids
frames. One in
particular is a spatter of different colors of paint on a white frame. So
it should be kid
related. Any ideas are welcome. My meeting is Wednesday morning @ 9am. We
are
trying to come up with something we can use SDS, sculpture. Anything out
of this world.
Size is 10'x10'. The booth size is 10'x 20'. (Maybe we will be able to
use the whole
perimeter of the booth.) Ceiling height approximately 12'. Any ideas?
Please e-mail at:
Creative-Parties@worldnet.att.net.
Thank you in advance!

Hi

I need some suggestions or ideas on how to do referrals. Soon I am going to
have to refer some of my clients and some phone calls from new clients to
another balloon company in town because I am going to be unable to do them.
My question is:

1. I plan on getting a % of the job because of the referral - what %
would you guys suggest.

2. Should I have them sign something saying they would not try
	to take my clients away?

3. How do I handle the billing, do I send the client a bill from me and then
pay the other company.

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. How do other people handle this?

Thank you
