Hello. I'm relatively new to the list (and the business too), but I can't
post to the list because of AOL 6.0, so feel free to share this with the
list
if you like. I also just recently got a Classy Wrap. And honestly it's my
favorite toy! I'm very excited about Valentine's Day coming up, and even
though I'm a home based business, I will be set up in one of our local mall
parking lots and my main thing will be the bears and the Jiffy wrap flowers.
However, just the other day, I did a donation for the local "Baby New Year."
I used iridescent mylar paper to line the bottom, then a small amount of
rainbow sizzle pak-just enough to add volume. Then, the stuffed animal I
used was a white baby seal, and although it's about 6-61/2 inches, it lies
horizontal, so I added pearl sapphire 5" balloons and diamond clear 5"
balloons (about 7 total) and "perched! " the seal on top of the balloons by
help of thread that I sewed a notch in the head of the seal and then gave
myself enough slack that I could "lift" the seal even after it was closed.
I
also scattered 4 "It's a boy" bubble gum cigars around. Then before I
closed
the balloon, I tied a blue rattle and a plastic blue safety pin and tied
them
together with blue curling ribbon and curled an end, but the 2 objects
formed
a V. I turned them upside down and suspended them above the seal. I also
found some plastic blocks with the letters b-a-b-y and hot glued them
together and put them in there along with an enclosure card that read
"Congratulations Baby New Year 2001," and of course, my business card. I
topped the whole thing with the large white pull bow and baby blue curling
ribbon. I'm going to try to send an attached picture (I was proud!) so you
can see. The picture can't be forwarded to the list because they don't
accept attachments. It's not too much more creative, but the 5" and the
suspended items really filled it up. Also go to:
http://www.balloonhq.com/faq/deco_delivery.html#machine
That is part of the balloon HQ archives (I think!) and it has lots of ideas
including the T-shirt idea already sent to you. The one I really want to
try
is the rose or flower bud floating in water as a center piece with lights
under it. Sounds great! There are other things I'm thinking of doing to.
I
have been working on advertising balloon bouquets for decorations for the
sports bars for the Super Bowl. I'm going to try to find a deflated
football, use a hand pump and pump it up after it is inside the balloon.
That should turn some heads, maybe use green shred and perhaps try to find
mini football players-I do have the small football mylars, I might put one
in
with a bear. Any way, have fun and play with your toy. I reuse balloons to
experiment and shred too. By the way, I used the Diamond Clear Spray for
the
baby balloon. It was great! Oh, one more thing. If you go to a party or
are in need of a little kick for a celebration, fill a balloon with 5"
balloons and sprinkle confetti. Then let all the air out and fill back up
with helium-very pretty-but be careful to fill it upside down so you don't
have a problem with the confetti-use foil confetti-it's lighter-then when
you
need your kick, pop the outer balloon, and the 5"ers and the confetti will
flutter to the ground-kind of like a mini balloon drop. I babble a lot.
Have fun!
