Subject: outside balloon columns
To: balloondeco@balloonhq.com
Hello Again,
I am interested in doing two columns that are 15ft. high with a 3ft. helium
filled balloon on top, for a grand opening. I saw a picture of these columns
in a Balloons and Party Magazine as tent decor. I am new to the balloon
business and I would hate to ruin my first big job.
I am thinking about using this with a grand opening vinyl sign between the
two columns. The question that I have is would I need a base for the conduit
poles to stabilize the structure? Or could I simply pound the conduit in the
ground a considerable amount to keep the structure from toppling over. I am
worried about the weight of the 3ft. balloon flying on top. There should not
be much wind as we are located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Also if someone has used this type of outside column could you tell me what
did you use to attach the 3ft. balloon to the column as far as line. The line
would have to be sturdy so that the balloon would stay attached and not fly
away. Thanks for any help that you can give, as this is my first real job.
Don't won't to mess up my chances of making this business work. I look
forward to hearing from anyone that can help.
My Best,
Tracy Brack
