Subject: Double Stuffing Suggestions

David posted a question about double stuffing to make navy and wine wedding
colors. Here's some color matching suggestions...
Usually it's easiest to start with the closest color on the outside and then
modify it with a color inside. Since navy is a dark blue (a "shade") putting
black inside sapphire gives a great navy.
Wine can be made in several ways depending on the exact hue desired. You
might want to start with Sparkling Burgundy and make it warmer with ruby
inside, brighter with white inside, more purple with quartz inside or darker
with black inside. If these are all too brown (the burgundy Qualatex balloon
seems to have a brown edge to it), you may want to try starting with ruby or
fuchsia (whichever seems closer) and stuffing them with amethyst violet,
plum, quartz or black - depending upon how dark and purple the swatch is.
I remember when I made a sculpture of water, I found about 50 different
combinations to make teal, including some very strange combinations. The
moral of this story? Don't be afraid to experiment!
