Theresa,

Some "food" for thought: If you're working with the caterer or have any
input I've used a couple n awesome buffet table layouts that are real
impressive and gives a neat total look.

These give you space in the center to do a balloon "thing" - like 3-4
strings with many helium balloons tied onto one string - like bubbles
floating up???

Also, I don't know whether to say this or not...but guess I am....be sure
to think this backdrop thing out. It's been my experience that if you do an
awesome job on the décor, the walls, bb hoops, and ceiling will just fade
away, as the focus is on the awesome décor. Plus, you may make out better
if you would do a full balloon canopy and blow them away with awesome stuff
instead of using the $ to buy/rent backdrops and the labor and equipment to
put them up. You may use all that money to hide stuff and you still don't
have any décor. Be careful not to make it look like a prom. Use the high $
to create neat stuff that they'll remember. (ie, if you went to a party
would you remember a big balloon canopy or a backdrop that covered up a
yellow wall?)

JUST AN OPINION!

Subject: Gymnasium Decor!!or!!

I have been asked to submit a proposal re a Valentines Dance in a
Gymnasium.. I went to look at the Gym and I see why they want to disguise
the whole room !! :) fold in bleachers on one wall, a stage where the jazz
band will be...the 4 bb hoops do not fold up and the walls are yellow...I
looked thru the archives and didn't see anything re: draping a gym
etc...This will be a black tie affair and $$ is no problem!!! :) I would
love to have picture backdrops of a newyork skyline and be able to have a
night time look with twinle lights in the ceiling (hi ceilings with beams)
...this would be my first big job and I would be guaranteed the contract for
the coming years So i really need to go all out!! I would appreciate any
imput or recommendations as to where I could get the backdrops that I need!!
The buffet table will be placed in the center of the gym and the round
tables will be set up around the buffet table....
Thanks in advance for the Help!!
