Perhaps the English major's definition of finite is incorrect, but I use the term to mean bounded, limited, having a specific quantity. I know you'll correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't helium a by-product of fusion? If helium is produced from fusion, then, logically, the statement "this world has only a finite supply of helium and once it's gone, that's it." is incorrect. Helium production through fusion may be expensive, but expensive is not the same as finite (just ask any english major.) I agree with the principle of your message, though, that helium should not be squandered - just another reason to support twisters!
