Special Events magazine is, as you can guess from the name, a magazine devoted to the special events industry. You can learn more about the magazine at http://www.specialevents.com. They have a bunch of back issues online (or at least articles from them). That would be the best way to find out about the magazine. Every year they offer gala awards for the most spectacular special events. They have quite a few categories. Best balloon creation is just one of them. That's what Royal and I were nominated for. It looks like we're up against Air Dimensional Design from Van Nuys, CA. The pictures of the entries aren't online, so I have no idea what their creation looks like. The sculpture that Royal and I entered is the soccer player sculpture we did in Belgium with a huge number of other people that attended the Millennium Jam in June. 40,781 balloons without a frame or anything else to hold it together. The pictures, along with a 5 minute video showing the construction, and a complete list of everyone that helped is at http://www.balloonhq.com/MJ2000-web In addition to the stuff online, check out the latest issues of Balloon Magic and Balloon Images. (Thanks Kristie and Stephanie.) We're still waiting for confirmation, but there's a very good chance that this project will also be on Guinness Primetime sometime this season. Larry Moss BalloonHQ.com
