Hi guys! It's been awhile! I am so sorry that I couldn't respond lately (I
had AOL 6.0 - and that made it difficult to respond).

I was wondering if I could get some assistance from you guys. I am doing a
party in February that would consist of a star theme (colors black, silver
and white). The hall has a contract that states that no tape, thumbtacks or
anything should be placed on the walls. The walls are off white. The room
has bright lighting. The ceiling is a drop ceiling with white panels (It's
about 7 1/2 feet from the floor).

I'm trying to get the room dimmer. I was thinking about using mylar curtains
(silver color) to cover all the walls (starting from the ceiling) with the
icicle lights going around the boarder of the ceiling (the room is square).
Since nothing can be put on the walls, I thought anchoring the curtain and
lights to the panels of the drop ceiling would work. The person in charge of
contracting the hall sounded hesitant when I brought the idea up to her. I
would like to know from you guys (after all, I think that the idea is dreamy
as well as adding subtle lighting) should I continue to pitch the idea to the
hall manager for permission purposes or should I just do the job? I am
taking into consideration that no punctures or marks will be made to the
walls nor ceiling. Also, the contract didn't state anything about the
ceiling panels. The customer stated that the sky is the limit considering
that a lot of politicians would be there.

Question two . . . .the walk-thru star is what I am interested in
constructing in the doorway of the party. It is recommended that aluminum
rods are to be used as well as anchored to the doorway for stability. I
would like to know, if anyone has used PVC instead of the aluminum and if you
did, what were any down sides of using the PVC.

Thanks a lot guys.
