Scott, 

I tried your method of putting the line in my pocket while making an arch.
It worked great!  I was making a spiral arch out in the wind no less and
really had no trouble with it.  There were lots of people around and no one
walked into it.  Course that didn't stop a small child from going under the
balloons.  Kids just can't resist I guess.  Thanks for the great tip!
