Hi Chris and Gerry:
Sounds like you got your work cut out for you!  Along with the ideas you
have received already...how about making candle holders out of
styrofoam, covered in gold mylar, with tapered cream coloured candles. 
On the holders you could hot glue baby shoes (with gold ribbon laces),
baby's breathe, small silk roses.etc. You could also make a frame for
the baby's picture to be displayed with the same embellishments on it.
