Aloha gang

Hey, I have something exciting to report! Well exciting to me! Last year I
asked several vendors at the Party Show across from IBAC if any of them
carried "Flame Retardant Tissue Paper". No one did! I asked them if they
would? They said they would if there was an interest in it! I asked
Special Effects systems, makers of some fantastic confetti cannons, if they
would offer Flame Retardant Tissue Paper sheets of to the industry? They
said they would if a distributor was interested. Well it seems one
distributor saw the logic in this request and has asked SPFX Systems to
supply them with the tissue.

So I am excited to report that Lauderdale Paper and Balloons now carries
Flame Retardant Tissue paper in 50 count sheets.

Some of you may ask "so what’s the excitement about?"

How many of you use sheets of tissue in your deliveries and decorating?
Well I know I use a lot, especially in many of our corporate centerpieces.
Many hotels are getting very particular of what goes on their tables in the
way of flammable materials. Especially if they are having candles on the
tables at the same time! For years I was trying to find flame retardant
tissue because of this and now I have a source.

Of course this tissue is a little more expensive then regular tissue, but
then you have to ask yourself what would it cost you in the way of reputation
and insurance costs if one of your centerpieces caught fire! As a
responsible business you have to consider this.

Lauderdale Paper is one of IBAC’s supporters and you can find their contact
information in your IBAC handbook.

Please spread the word. This is an important issue that decorators need to
consider.

One more thing! This is a great example that our distributors DO listen to
what we have to say!
