Subject: Re: Wal-mart and no money?

I completely agree with Maria, Wal-mart certainly has enough of my money and
I don't even shop there very often. I think that alot of us are selling
ourselves short- we are PROFESSIONALS, just like attorneys, physicians, etc.
(although they might balk at the comparision). You have to remeber you are
helping these people- like Maria said most people are not going to ask who
did the balloons they will assume Wal-Mart did and they will remember
Wal-Mart for the balloons, not you! If you don't get paid for your work all
you will have is the right to use your photos and throw their name around to
other clients. I, too have a very large and loyal corporate client and they
know this A: because I have told them I am worth the money B: I have
proven it consistently by both giving them what they want and when they want
it or advising them against something they think they want if it is not what
they need or what they will be happy with. The best thing you can hear from
a client is we trust you because you are the professional and this is exactly
what we wanted.
Off of my soapbox, for now
