Subject: PTA Convention meet the So CAL QBN

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share what the So California Chapter did this past week...

Last Week was the California State PTA Convention and the local PTA (which I 
am affiliated with were the host)  the PTA asked me to decorate but because 
of my other PTA commitments during the convention I referred the PTA to the 
So Cal QBN.... (talk about making my two worlds collide!)  Well the chapter 
(headed by Judy Bradt of A Special Event - Whittier) put together a committee 
(headed by Kathy Kiker of Parties - N - Us of Mission Viejo) and they met 
with the PTA....  imagine trying to please 5000 moms on a budget...... yes 
5000... and the press and a whole bunch of local mayors and dignitaries.....  
FOR COST!

On the day of the dinner the QBN met at the Long Beach Convention Center and 
put together... on site... 205 centerpieces, a dance floor canopy and columns 
for the entrance.... I was on the crew to build but I was also running around 
with the PTA because they knew me....   the PTA was blown away by how the QBN 
turned the COnvention Center into the dinner of their dreams......

this was a week ago today and I am still getting calls from the PTA about 
what a great job the QBN did.....I went to a luncheon yeasterday for the PTA 
and the QBN was the talk of the party! I have my photos of what we did at the 
shop but when they come back I will try to post them online so you all can 
see what a great Chapter we have in Southern California.....

Once again... thanks to everyone in the SO CAL QBN who gave up a Saturday to 
head for Long Beach and did a good deed...  once again you pulled together 
and showed Los Angeles (and the state) how wonderful balloons are!
