Let me add one more thing concerning Full Canopies and the poles and bases.
Although we have used conduit for our poles, we plan on using steel pipe in
the future. Crystal Narramore taught the canopy class at the last IBAC and
recommended only using steel pipe. I have checked out the price at Home Depot
and it is very inexpensive and should not bend the way conduit might. Of
course it will lean if the base weight in not sufficient. Having done hundreds
of canopies of all types we have been quite satisfied using conduit, but can
see ourselves improving them by using the steel pipe.
