1. duct tape! the ultimate tool
2. what kind of columns are you using?  if EMT get two corners do a square,
two sides and a top. air fill the balloons. then helium fill the two
up-rights above the cross piece.
if using pvc the same thing works or use   tee's and air fill the whole
thing.
