Lori,
We use 3/4 Rigid Conduit for the 6 or 7 Ft. poles at the side. Then make a
wide " H " type shape using 1/2 inch PVC. We make it 6 feet wide and 3 1/2
feet high. (The side pieces are cut at 18" for the top side and 24 inches for
the bottom and connect it to the 6 foot wide piece with a pvc " T " on each
side) We then fit about two feet of it down inside the rigid conduit. It will
sit on top of the Conduit right at the " T " of the PVC. We duct tape to
ensure it doesn't pull out. The PVC extends about 19 or so inches above the
top of the conduit. You can adapt the size to suit your need. We use latex
quads sized to about 8" to cover it. If you need a picture of the H shape I
can email it to you privately. Email me if it's not clear enough to you or
you have any questions.
Hope it helps!
Sandy Gray
