Hi Angela.
Yes two separate uniforms is the way to go. This is a bit easier for a guy
to say because changing from decorating garb to consultation garb in a city
back alley is not a problem (and has been done on many an occasion!).
Decorating clothes are custom-made bright gold and navy blue polo shirts or
polar fleece if it's cold - yes our team stands out wherever we
decorate(best form of advertising), clean jeans and clean joggers. For
consultations I have custom made chambre (is this the correct spelling??)
shirts with logo and a tie with
winnie-the -pooh holding a balloon. It always gets a reaction and I use it
as an ice breaker. You need to look professional, yes, but as a balloonie
you can't go into consultations in a three piece suit. This is the "party
business" we are in, not I.T. You are going to sell a "fun" concept, not a
computer. Go MAD with balloons!
