Lisa,

You might model your house after the balloon house at this location:

http://www.rouseinternational.com/rmsPhotos/index.html

It is the first photo in the upper left hand corner. Select the picture to
go to a larger version with notes. From there you will find a link to more
detailed instructions that you can download and print out.

The instructions are for a larger house than you asked for, but if you use
the plans at half scale it should be about the right size. (Just use 5"
balloons inlfated to 4" rather than 11" balloons inflated to 8"; And
substitute RMS Banners for RMS Builders.) You can change the color pattern
to match the blues clues house. It is also possible to change the pitch of
the roof if you like.

If you build it at the smaller scale, you may get away with no reinforcing
hardware at all. If you build it with strings of Link-O-Loons instead of
pairs of standard round balloons, you can simplify construction and
strengthen the finished structure.

Email me directly if the idea suits you but you should need help.

I have seen some of the pictures where people have made castles and such.  I
was wondering if I were to try and make a house about 4' tall would conduit
on bases at the corners be strong enough.  My goal is for it to look like
the house on blues clues.  My other thought was to just make the front of it
as a walk through instead of the whole house.  I'm going to be experimenting
but thought maybe I could get some hints first.  Thanks
