Well, thanks to everyone who responded to my questions about joining a wedding netowrk. Many of you suggested questions that I should ask and research BEFORE I made my decision, and those were VERY appreciated. 

In addition, I was very surprised to hear that so many of you out there are already involved in such exclusive groups, and I'm glad to hear you're doing well because of them. After taking in the responses as well as a frank discussion with a friend of mine in corporate marketing, I have decided to make my presentation to the network this April. 

The biggest reason for joining, believe it or not, was the main reason why I was concerned! I was worried about the costs involved ($1000 a year in dues and $1000 joining fee). But after doing the math on it, it's cheaper than my Yellow Pages ad every year, and from speaking with others in the association, not only will I probably get more referrals, but they'll tend to be higher end customers as well.
