Subject: Announcement: CA classes

I recently mentioned some classes I'll be teaching in California, but due
to an oversite, the announcement only went out on the twister list. These
classes were designed to be of interest to decorators also.

May 16, 2000 Los Angeles, CA Host: Conwin 800-877-8889
May 17, 2000 Santa Ana, CA Host: All-American Balloons 800-927-9778
May 22, 2000 San Mateo, CA Host: Variety Supply (800) 848-2743
May 23, 2000 Sacramento, CA Host: Continental Sales (800) 848-2743

At each location I'll be doing 2 sessions on different topics.

Balloon fabrics (balloon weaving) - starting on the simple stuff and
working up to large scale creations. When discussing large scale
creations, we'll go into planning and executing multi thousand balloon
sculptures for those that are interested in taking it that far. There's
nothing hard in this class. The only prerequisite is that you've twisted a
260 into the most basic of shapes. If you don't routinely twist balloons,
learn a few basic animals before attending just so you're familiar with the
materials you'll be using. Advanced twisting knowledge is not necessary.
I teach this as a bridge between decorating and twisting. It can be used
for deliveries or room decor.

World Class Airigami and Balloonicature - this is stuff to make twisters
think and play. Unusual creations using a variety of balloons - not just
260s. Balloonicature is caricatures using balloons. Learn to make a
variety of faces and face styles to create not only original figures but
actual representations of your friends. Other advanced twisting techniques
will also be shown.

At the conclusion of each day, I'll spend some time talking about BHQ and
using the 'net to promote your business in a round table fashion. Anyone
that attends either of the other sessions is welcome to take part in this
round table.
