Sean -
I'm probably teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here, but here goes....
First, I guess you're talking about the Conwin Grip-tabs? I use these to
suspend air-filled foils too and also had a few problems initially.
Are you sticking the tabs onto the balloons after inflation? I found that if
you stick the tabs on while the balloon is FLAT you can apply much more
pressure to the tab and get much more adhesion. Also, stick the tabs on a
day or so before you are going to inflate and hang the balloons, which gives
the adhesive time to "cure" before it has to support any weight.
Finally, sometimes the ink can come away from the balloon and so the tab no
longer sticks. If this is happening, clean the ink off the patch of balloon
(with nail varnish remover) where you want to stick the tab . This then
allows the tab to stick to the plain silver material and not the ink - again
leading to better adhesion.
Good luck!!

Subject: Sticky Problem
Hi ya all,
I'm in need of a few bits of help.
1st:
We use the clear 'sticky tabs' often for all sorts of applications
and
find them great .. but for several in store promotions and rather warm
trade
shows we have attached them to air-filled foils (a variety of brands and
sizes) only to find that they have come unstuck and thus the decor falls
apart, can any of you suggest a better method that is just as neat, time
efficient and tidy?
2nd:
I saw in a lacal newpaper a couple of happy chaps who recieved a bottle of
wine each and on top was a 4" foil with a ribbon. It appears that one
ribbon
and balloon were attached to the top of the bottle with a sort of small
frame that fitted over the top of the bottle.
Sound familuar? If so please email me and ecplain what it is and where I
might be able to track it down.
If it doesn't exist perhaps a supplier out there might consider making
them
for they would make decorating a 'bottle' gift a lot easier.
Thanks mates, check ya'll later
