Subject: Re: fax to e-mail

I use www.faxwave.com when I'm travelling and need to receive a fax via
email (on my laptop). It's free and it works great. You just register
with your email address, and you're given a dedicated 10-digit USA fax
number. When a fax is sent to that number, it's converted to an image file
which is forwarded to you as an email attachment. Just open the file to
view and/or print the fax.

This same company operates the Internet Answering Machine at
www.callwave.com. Another free service - this one is for net users with
only one phone line. If somebody phones you while you're on the net, they
can leave a voice message, which is then played over your computer
speakers. Example "Joe, get off the gosh darned internet, I've been trying
to call you for an hour!!" :-)

I am not affiliated with either of the above services, and am receiving no
compensation for this endorsement. I simply have friends and family who
utilize both services, who are quite happy with them. I guess some day
they'll decide to start charging, but for now everything is all free.

Regards,
Nathan
