Subject: IBAC Judging
I had responded a few days ago to this thread but sent the response only to
Larry Moss who was kind enough to ask if I meant for the entire list, which I
did.

The attendees used to vote in the competitions. Not sure when it stopped, but
as I recall the reason was that very few (less than 10%) voted and it would be
very easy to stuff the ballot
boxes, especially if a large group who worked on a specific sculpture all
voted. At least that was my understanding on why it was changed. Also I
believe the IBAC Workbooks at that time contained the rules for voting and the
various categories to use for each ballot. Since the voting was changed
Bernadette and I have on one occasion been asked to be judges in one category
a few years ago. At that time we were given a list of criteria for judging.
The judges are suppose to be anonomous.
