Hi All!
I have searched the archives but need a little more info. I would like to do
a spiral arch outdoors over the starting line of a marathon. We will be
using 16" balloons and dacron line. Are we best off having the arch go over
the whole start, or would it be more stable to do 8' columns at each side and
attach an arch to the tops of the columns? If I do attach the arch to the
ground, is rebar knocked into the ground the best way to go, and how long a
piece of rebar should I use? If I do columns, I will also use rebar and put
the conduit over it. Should I thread the archline through the conduit, or
will that make it less stable?
Thanks so much in advance for all your help.
