Hi Debby (dear), long time no speak.

Personally, what I do, whenever possible outdoors is rig
to lightposts, trees, apartments, whatever is within 50 feet.

NOT having the arch touch the ground is (imho) always better than risking
little kids, or big athletes ruining it.

SO, if there are trees, I will look for a branch to secure on end, If
there's a telephone pole reasonably close I will secure the other end.

Usually I do Just 6-8 feet off the ground.
I will take the fact that it is higher by making the arch taller than
normal...

and I (almost always) use 1/4 inch clothesline rather than 120 lb or greater
test.  It's cheaper, looks better (I think, and is sturdier...)
