To do this you just start to tie the two together and while the knot is really lose slide the knot to the end (lip) of the balloon. This will give you more balloon to work with once you assemble 3 duplets to make the 6 pack. You'll be better able to work with the six. It might not be easy and it takes getting used to, but again the key is to tie the necks at the end. An alternative is the paper clip method. You tie each balloon separately and put each on the same paperclip making sure to slide them all the way to the bottom. Again this takes getting used to.
