Evening all
I had a high school call me interested in talking to me about Prom. Here in
town they hold Prom in the fall time instead of spring.
She had mentioned that she was getting bids and ideas from me and another
balloon person in town. She said she wasn't aware of me until a friend of
hers saw some hot air balloon kits I had made for a local children's clothing
store.
Anyway, something she said bothered me and I was wanting to know others
opinions.
She said she will hear about the different ideas we both have and then
decide. She then told me there might even be a sharing of the job. If she
likes some ideas of mine and some of the other girl, she'll just have us do
each our own thing. I instantly thought how would that work in my contract
with the "balloons only done by us clause" and then she commented "After
all there would be no contracts involved"
I have met the "competition" and she's nice :) but I do not know the quality
of work that she offers. Part of me wonders if we'll be put on the spot of
"Well the other girl said she could do this and that for $100 less" Then I
realize I"ll have to use the "If she charges cheaper then she understand the
true quality of her work" spiel.
I am not sure about this whole situation and would like to hear of others
experiences. I am new to the community, just moved here 3 months ago and
would have to leave an impression on anyone!
Thanks so much!
