To keep my balloons from getting a "Tangle in the Wind" (sorry, Elton), I
take a 6-inch piece of curling ribbon and tie it around the other ribbons at
the base of the lowest balloon. It isn't a cure-all, but it does help.
Bags have their pros and cons. A bag will help to protect your latex
from direct sunlight and the stray sharp edge of a doorway, or an occasional
wood splinter. But it can be difficult to get the bag over your arrangement
without a little help from another. And, if the customer/recipient keeps the
bag, they will simply throw it away, even though the cost of the bag is part
of what you charge. You can reduce your overhead by not using them when you
can. If you want to use bags, then remove and keep them after your delivery,
and use them over and over again.
