ALthough I have seen many creative posts re: weights, I personally don't have 
the time to bother with making my own anymore, and quite frankly, I don't 
want to be responsible for an irresponsible guest who destroys my weights and 
creates a dangerous or destructive act. So, why not just use the new weights 
available through balloon distributors that have the sand encased in plastic, 
covered with mylar?  No labor, and very attractive.  Leslie, Balloon Wrap
