Tim McConeghy, Lord of Latex. The "rule of thumb" is to never use
the two together. The correction to that should be never use the two
interchangably. If you are using standard green for your trees, then that is
the green you should use elsewhere as well. I love columns made with gold,
silver, black, and white, not pearl black, not pearl white, just black, and
white. The local college football team prefers goldenrod and sparkling
burgundy. As long as you use the same color thoughout it is fine. Don't go
hanging emerald rounds from the fronds or using pearl teal on the
centerpieces.
Remember you are the best balloon artist in your socks.
