The cakes are made of Styrofoam and can be purchased from most cake
decorating supply stores. There is one called Country Kitchen in Indiana
that I use. They come in all sizes and shapes. You can also make your own
out of sheets of Styrofoam cut in circles then stacked. It is much easier to
purchase premade though.  I have also purchased these retail through local
supply store.
