Not being an expert Don did a pretty fair job of explaining the situation.
Well done.
Some may people try to make you think that all these registrations cover
each other and try to 'Bully' you into being too scared to use the wordage.
It was explained to me by a Lawyer: I can put a copyright symbol on anything
I create and I own copyright for being the creator. If someone takes a
picture of it then they own copyright of that picture but because I own the
copyright of the original work of art they can not use that picture for
commercial
gain without my concent but they still own copyright over that picture not
me.
The free for all attitude of the Web seems to be bending the rules some
what and with pictures being able to be digitally altered then all is not
what it started out to be and who am I t prove otherwise without a legal
team behind me.
Be careful and don't just take some fast talkers word about any legal
stance if you really want to use something investigate.
