Don Barrucci wrote " .... then we linked together 9 of them by connecting
one
balloon to the next with one paperclip, then that one to the next one with
another paperclip and so on. It took 9 balloons to go around the column.
Once
the 9 were put around the bottom of the church column the 9th balloon was
connected to the 1st balloon with another paperclip."

Another method to apply for Don Barrucci's idea:- In lieu of paper clips,
one could use a cable tie. Simply use a cutting knife to make a sharp point
on the cable tie, then "thread" each balloon neck on - one at a time. You
can get long cable ties. Or, to lengthen a cable tie .... simply "zip" one
cable tie to another (and another.....).
