Rebecca Foley won first prize for the buffet and second prize in the large sculpture categary for the highly details entry "The Reef" at the 1999 Australasian Balloon Convention Read a Press Release and Review. This convention was hosted by the Queensland chapter of the Balloon Artists & Suppliers Association (BASA), Australaia (Gunter Blum of Balloons Galore, President).

Rebecca Foley began her career with Balloons Galore, Brisbane, where she learned the art of balloon decorating from industry leaders Gunter Blum and Marloes Bakker-Mardsen. Recently, she has been employed by Katrina Cook, Special Events, and is now running her own balloon business in Brisbane.
