There are lots of ways of making the U.S. flag. I did a simple weave with
the 7 red stripes going horizontal and the 6 white stripes as a weave going
vertically through the red stripes. The blue area is a weave of only blue
balloons going both vertically and horizontally. I then tied parts of
uninflated white balloons at the junctions of each of the blue weaves for
the stars.

This came out great using 160s but is difficult to keep pefectly flat. It
tapes flat to a window and creates a great stained glass affect. My
neighbors have all commented on how good it looks. I'll be trying different
kinds of weaves to make the U.S. flag this weekend. I'd be interested to
hear how other people did the U.S. flag. I would also be curious about how
people did other nation's flags.

By the way, it's crazy here at my day job today. Everyone is wearing red,
white, and blue and everyone's office has a flag outside it. Not only that,
I saw at least two dozen cars with flags in the window or hanging off their
antenna on the way in today.
