Barry,
The PumpO has seen a lot of changes. The fix depends on which model you
have.

If there is a metal end cap on the bottom of the pump, it could be an old
PumpO that had the base nut pinched to the center of a metal cup that was
stuck into the base of the inner tube. You can't see it because the end cap
covers it. If the pinch let go the nut can spin, or the metal cup can be
pulled inside out with a lot of force.

Assuming it is more than 2 years old and the warranty no longer applies, the
easiest fix is 4 small 90 degree brackets with 1 1/2" to 2" legs and 2 holes
for screws in each leg. Arrange the brackets at the base of the pump so you
can run sheet metal screws into the plastic base and into the side of the
PumpO. This is not especially pretty but the screws in one leg of each
bracket should hold in the plastic base and at least one of the screws in the
other leg should go through the edge of the metal cup inside the PumpO. Use
3/8 inch sheet metal screws to screw into the plastic and 1/2 inch screws to
screw into the pump tube. Make pilot holes for the screws.

Or you can send it back and Jim will fix it for parts and shop time charge.
Contact the office and get a RA (Return Authorization) number so it can be
tracked.

If it is a new PumpO and does not have a metal cover on the bottom of the
pump, e-mail me. The new PumpOs are much improved. I'd be surprised if you
were having this problem with a new style pump.
